Situation:
A low pressure system moves over the North Island today, followed by southerly flow. Tomorrow, a ridge of high pressure builds over the South Island while southerly flow continues for the North Island. On Monday, a ridge of high pressure extend across New Zealand, with easterly flow for most places. On Tuesday the ridge starts to weaken, while a front approaches from the Tasman Sea, bringing northeasterlies to the South Island. On Wednesday, the front moves onto the country.
