Area Description:

Inshore waters from Waitarere to Pukerua Bay and out to Kapiti Island.

Situation:

An easterly flow dominates most of the country and a front reaches the South Island bringing rain to southern areas. Showery easterlies continue to affect the upper North Island on Sunday with the flow tending northeast A showery northeast flow strengthens over the upper North Island on Monday. A ridge of high pressure dominates over central and southern New Zealand. On Tuesday, a low pressure system moves onto the upper North Island, bringing a strong east to southeast flow and rain in many areas, while the ridge becomes confined to the South Island. Remaining showers ease as the ridge builds over the country on Wednesday.
