Situation:
A strong southwesterly flow affects New Zealand today and tomorrow, with heavy southwest swells developing about exposed coasts. The southwest flow affecting New Zealand eases on Sunday. On Monday a ridge of high pressure moves onto the north of the country, while a westerly flow strengthens over the South Island. On Tuesday, the ridge of high pressure weakens over northern New Zealand, and a west to northwest flow covers the remainder of the country. During Wednesday, a low pressure system moves onto central and southern New Zealand, while an associated front moves onto northern New Zealand.
