Today, a front moves off the North Island and away to the east, leaving a ridge of high pressure over most of New Zealand. However, a weak front moves over the far south of the South Island from the west. Tomorrow, the ridge continues to build. A ridge of high pressure dominates northern and central New Zealand Monday to Wednesday. Meanwhile, a weak front passes over the lower South Island on Tuesday.
