Area Description:
Inshore waters from Matakana Island to Mayor Island to Motiti Island and then east to Torere River mouth.
Situation:
A deep low east of the country moves away on Thursday, while the ridge over the South Island weakens. On Friday, a front moves northwards over the South Island, with light southwesterlies across the North Island. On Saturday, the front moves onto the North Island, while another front moves northwards across the South Island followed by a ridge. The ridge then moves over central New Zealand on Sunday, with showery southeasterlies across the upper North Island. A northeasterly flow develops on Monday as the ridge shifts to the east of the country.
