The weather gods smiled on the Whanganui Festival of Cultures on Saturday as several hundred people packed Majestic Square for five hours of food, music and fun.
More than 20 food stalls were selling everything from local hangi to Spanish candy, and that went hand in hand with a wide variety of performances by several cultural groups and individuals.
The headline act this year was Dunedin-based musician Sam Manzanza and his Afrobeat band.
